![]() Some people could benefit from listening to binaural beats, just as many people find certain types of music relaxing and calming for anxiety. Basically, the frequencies the beats produce are only noise, which is not inherently sinful. If binaural beats are used merely to help reduce anxiety and relax, then there may be nothing sinful or harmful about them. The Bible clearly warns against the use of occult practices. Hindus use the “third eye” to have spiritual visions and out-of-body experiences, while some Buddhists believe a person can achieve sight beyond the physical realm. Some have experimented with binaural beats in order to open or activate the “ third eye,” which has obvious connections to mysticism, New Age spirituality, and the occult. Christians should spend time meditating on God’s Word (Psalm 119:15), but the meditation that the world advocates often stems from false religions: transcendental meditation, for example, finds its roots in Hinduism. Many people use binaural beats to help them meditate, since certain frequencies cause the brain to produce effects similar to those of meditation. Some medical studies have shown that binaural beats can be helpful in treating anxiety and insomnia, but there are some risks associated with them, specifically for those who have epilepsy.Īlthough the Bible does not contain any information about binaural beats, there are some biblical concerns with some applications. ![]() Not all binaural beats affect the same brain waves, as different frequencies can affect one’s beta, alpha, theta, and delta waves, which control different functions of the brain. Although binaural beats are technically an auditory illusion, many people and some doctors believe they can help reduce stress and anxiety and produce a better quality of sleep. These frequencies work only if a person is wearing headphones, since a different frequency must be present in each ear. Hope these are of some use to you.Binaural beats are sounds that are set at slightly different frequencies that, when combined, create a new frequency that is barely audible. ![]() I’ve included some personal favorites or regulars in my history. I’ve gone on some journeys with these: had restful sleep, exercised, drove, meditated, studied, had sex, everything! They are very malleable and overall expansive. A certain male from Portugal crafted a 100 video strong collection, neatly organized into playlists such as “Binaural Beats and Meditation Music”, “Sleep Music & Sounds”, “Shamanic Meditaiton Music”, and “Chakra Meditations”. I care about style, and when I first found this channel I was relieved to see graphic design that wasn’t cheesy, as many New Age graphics can be (spoken with love, haha). It’s a part of my life, and soundtracks a variety of my activities. This is a resource I use just about every day now, which I can’t say about any other music at the moment. I would consider myself a some combination of all these, and I’m hyped to share Nu Meditation Music here on Disco Droppings. ![]() For the spiritual seeker, these can be a catalyst, doorways to the unconscious, a deeper realization of self, and/or a connection with the Divine. For the music producer, ambient soundscapes with a variety of themes to take influence from. For some, there are some relaxing meditations here to lessen stress, worry and such. I believe you can look at these videos from so many angles and gain something positive. ![]()
